Where did you go to school?

Portland State University (I grew up in Portland Area) and then Pacific University in Forest Grove (my dad grew up there!)

How long have you been teaching and what grade level? 20 years, starting at a roadway Middle School then the last 7 at The Heights and PRES

What's your favorite subject to teach? Math and Social Emotional Learning.

What was your favorite subject when you were in school?

My high school had ceramics and jewelry making. The teacher was terrific.

Who was your favorite teacher & why? or What made you want to become a teacher?

I always loved school, reading and socializing. Then becoming a parent got me very involved so teaching seemed to be a great fit for me.

Favorite hobby? Gardening, being outside eating great food with my friends, enjoying the North Coast. I moved to Astoria in 1995.

Favorite book? Ha, no way to say. But a third grader had My Side of the Mountain and that immediately took me back to that place.

Favorite coffee drink?

Mocha!
