1. Where did you go to school?
I attended San Diego State University, and earned a graduate degree at the University of Irvine.
2. How long have you been teaching and what grade levels? I have been teaching 18 years, I taught high school for 14 years in Southern California and fourth grade for the last four years.
3. What’s your favorite subject to teach? I love to teach literature and math.
4.What was your favorite subject when you were in school? My favorite subjects in school were Spanish and Social Studies.
5. Favorite hobby? I enjoy camping with my husband and our two pups.
6. Favorite book? One of my favorite books is Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer.
7. Favorite coffee drink? My favorite coffee drink is a hot or iced latte.
8. Who was your favorite teacher & why? OR What made you want to become a teacher? My favorite teacher was one of my college professors who encouraged a student-centered classroom, the students spoke and the teacher listened and facilitated the discussion.
9. If I had an extra $10 to spend on your classroom, I would buy: If I had an extra $10 to spend on the classroom I would buy colorful post-it notes, or a book for the classroom library.
10. If I had an extra $10 to spend on myself, I would buy: If I had an extra $10 to spend on myself I would buy a plant, book, healthy snacks or coffee.
11. If I could pick a gift card to any store/restaurant, I would choose: If I could choose a gift card I would choose Amazon or any Mexican restaurant.
